Estimates and Guidance Sources

Use the following to find buy/hold/sell recommendations, analyst estimates, consensus estimates, and company guidance.

For Individual Companies

  • Capital IQ – see Capital IQ access help
    • On a company's page, in the left navigation menu, select Estimates > CIQ Estimates.
    • You can screen by the company's latest CIQ estimates. Go to Screening > Companies. In the Financial Information box select Estimates.
  • FactSet – see FactSet access help
    • On a company's page, in the left navigation menu, go to Estimates.
  • LSEG Workspace – see LSEG Workspace access help
    • On a company's page, go to the Estimates tab.
  • Bloomberg – see Bloomberg access help
    • In the command line enter the ticker symbol, press the <EQUITY> key, type EE, and press <GO> (example: IBM <EQUITY> EE <GO>).
    • For a calendar of expected earnings announcements, type ACDR and press <GO>.

For a Large Dataset

Use Use I/B/E/S to download historical data on estimates and consensus for individual or sets of companies, including global companies – see WRDS access help.
