Virtual Desktop Infrastructure for GSB Library Resources

Stanford faculty, staff, and students can access the LSEG Excel Add-in on the GSB Library virtual desktop. Learn more about accessing the LSEG Excel Add-In and SDC Platinum.

Note: Only one person can use it at a time; if you get an error message saying "all available desktop sources for this desktop are currently busy," try again later.

To access the virtual desktop through your browser:

  1. Go to https://vdesktop.stanford.edu
  2. Select VMware Horizon HTML Access.
  3. Enter your Stanford SUNet username and password and follow the prompts for 2-step authentication.
  4. Select the GSB Library option.
  5. When logged in to the virtual desktop, use the desktop shortcuts or search in the lower left for the needed application.

Note: If you are idle for more than 30 minutes, you will be logged out of the GSB Library virtual desktop.
