CB Insights Access

To Access CB Insights

  1. Always use the CB Insights link on the library's website.
  2. Create an account with your Stanford email.

Common Error Messages

  • "Free Trial Has Ended" or "Your Account Has Expired"
    • If you already have an account linked to Stanford, submit a ticket to CB Insights to reactivate.
    • If you haven't yet created an account with your Stanford email, do so now using the CB Insights link on the library's website.
  • "You Must be on the Stanford University Network"
    1. Clear your browser's cookies and cache, or try a browser you don't normally use.
    2. Then make sure to use the CB Insights link on the library's website to access.
      • The links on our website include an authentication step that will allow for off-campus access, so if you always use these links you should be able to access any database from anywhere.

Restrictions

  • CB Insights limits our accounts to 6,000 downloads per user per year.
  • CB Insights Expert Intelligence Reports are not available to academic institutions.
  • CB Insights requires users to submit a ticket to reactivate their accounts each year.
