The Information Access accounts are for current Stanford students, faculty, and staff.

Our subscription does not include any “Pro” content (e.g. org charts, databases, trackers).

Create an Account

You must create the account in a browser before logging into the app.

  1. Open a web browser.
  2. Go to the The Information sign up page.
  3. Enter your email.
  4. If prompted, select your preferences for updates, topics, and tech news communications.

Access The Information

Using a Browser

If you want to change your email preferences, log in with a web browser and in the upper right click on the person icon > Settings > Email preferences.

Using the App

You must have already created your account in a browser.

  1. Download The Information mobile app.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Enter your SUNet email and press Continue with email.
  4. On the same device, open your Stanford email. Open the email from The Information and click on the button to Sign in to the app.
  5. If prompted, open the link with the "default browser app".
