In the Select Institution text box enter Stanford University and click the arrow.
Sign in with your Stanford SUNet credentials.
Your account's email, name, and username should be automatically filled out. Click Create account.
Request to join the Stanford Graduate School of Business Library organization within Redivis. We must approve your request to join our organization before you can see the majority of the data we have in Redivis.
When you're logged into your account, in the upper right click on the Dashboard tab.
On the right in the To-do's box, click Join an organization.
In the Search box, enter GSB and select Stanford Graduate School of Business Library.
In the upper right, click Join organization.
Click Submit.
Our staff will review the request as soon as possible; typically within one business day.
We may contact you over email with questions about your project to help you get access to the data you need more efficiently.
We'll let you know when we're approving access, and you'll also receive an automatic email from Redivis confirming you have been approved as a member of our organization.
You can now view the datasets available to our organization members' within Redivis. If you need help getting to the list of datasets:
In the upper right of Redivis, click on your username (most likely your SUNet).
In the left navigation menu, click Organizations.
On the Membership tab, select Stanford Graduate School of Business Library.
In the top-middle of the page, click on Stanford Graduate School of Business and in the drop-down select Go to organization.
On the left, select the Datasets tab.
Select a dataset to view more details about it. Depending on the automatic permissions, in the upper right you may see a View access or Apply for access button.
If you need to apply, follow the prompts and we will get back to you as soon as possible; typically within one business day. We may need you to electronically sign a Data Use Agreement, which we will send you and then provide you access once it is signed.
Some datasets have restrictions on how much data can be exported and/or restrictions on where the data can be exported. If you are trying to download/export data and see a notice saying Exports are restricted, click the Request approval button and follow the prompts. We will get back to you shortly.
Troubleshooting
"Dataset not found" error
Make sure you are logged into your Redivis account. Use the Log in button in the upper right and try again.
Make sure you are a member of the Stanford GSB Library organization using the instructions above and try again. If you only just applied, you will continue to see this error message until we approve your request.
Some datasets are only visible to authorized individuals. If you're still getting the error, contact the Data Coordination team.
